The joint head of the Water Department in Qamishlo, Khurshid Oso, said that the renewal of the power outage crisis will lead to a significant decline in the quality of basic services provided to citizens, because all of the Water Body's facilities are connected to the electric current.”

He continued, "The continuation of this crisis will lead to a reduction in the work of water wells and water pumping stations because the wells will operate on some generators, and this is not enough."

He added, "Since yesterday, the water supply stations for Derik and Tirbespiyê have been out of service due to the Turkish bombing.

He made the point clear that, "As for the Amuda district and all of its countryside, there is no electricity and water, and only 7 wells are running on the generators. There will be water, but not in the required amount, as the targeting main electricity."

In the city of Qamishlo, the electricity transfer station located on the northern belt of the city went out of service. This station was supplying electricity to three water stations: the Jaqjaq, Awija, and the Eastern Wells stations, that will create a water problem.”

Oso explained that they will try to operate some water pumping stations through generators.

Khurshid Oso concluded, "In general, as a result of the bombing of the Suwaydiya station, all the cities and districts of the Al-Jazera Canton have been cut off from electricity, and thus stopping the water stations will create a water problem.
