DEM Party calls for participating in Massive Rally on 13 June
Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) called for participation in the massive rally planned to be held in the city of Gulmêrgê on 13 June, and stressed: “Now it is time to increase the resistance."
DEM Party called for participation in the rally to be held in the city on 13 June under the slogan “Municipalities are ours, we will not allow usurpation”.
The Co-Chair of the Equality and Peoples’ Democracy Party in Gulmêrgê, Hümeyra Armut , said: “Mehmet Sıddık Akış and Viyan Tekçe are the will of the people of Gulmêrgê and said: "Our party won the municipality despite all the frauds and tricks, the government resorted to a trustee and undermined democracy once again."
She continued, "We call on all our people to join the rally,and participate in the struggle for dignity against the policies of denial of will."
Co-Mayor Viyan Tekçe said: “We invite our people to our rally against the usurper trustees hostile to women and youth.”
For her part, the spokeswoman for the DEM Party Aisha Gül said: “We in the DEM Party achieved gains on March 31, Erdogan showed the fact is that there is no law and rights, as “Mehmet Sıddık Akış was sentenced to 19 years and 6 months in prison before June 5 on charges of “membership in the organization,” while there was nothing against him when he ran for office, and they suddenly opened an investigation against him and detained him for 48 years.”

Therefore, we call on the authorities to respect the people of Gulmêrgê. We also call on everyone to participate in the rally that will be organized on June 13."
