Delegation from Equality Party, HDP, DBP, meets with Gorran Movement

Yesterday, Monday, a six-member delegation from the Equality Party, the Peoples' Democratic Party, and the Democratic Regions Party visited the Kurdistan Region.

The delegation includes the co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party, Keskin Bayındır; members of the Foreign Relations Committee, Bedran Öztürk and Ebru Günay; the Equality Party's Mardin MP, Saliha Aydeniz; and the former mayor of Silopi, Adalat Fidan. According to Roj News Agency,

A delegation from the Equality Party, the Peoples' Democratic Party, and the Democratic Regions Party visited the Gorran Movement headquarters in Sulaymaniyah Governorate on Tuesday. The delegation was received by the movement's general manager, Dana Ahmed Majeed; the National Council's secretary, Sheikh Kamil Sheikh Qadir; the director of political relations, Bakhtiar Omar; the head of the Gorran Movement bloc in the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, Jawanro Mohammed; and the Gorran Women's Movement representative, Gulistan Saeed.

After the meeting, the co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party, Keskin Bayindir, made a press statement, saying, "When we first came to Southern Kurdistan, due to time constraints, we were unable to meet with all the political parties, so we came again. Today, we met with our brothers from the Gorran Movement and discussed the solution process in Northern Kurdistan, Turkey, and the changes in the Middle East. The Gorran Movement also expressed its support for the solution, and we thank them for their position."

The head of the Gorran Movement bloc in the Kurdistan Regional Parliament, Jawanro Mohammed, also spoke, saying, "We welcomed the delegation and declared our support for the peace process in Northern Kurdistan."

The Imrali delegation, which visited the Kurdistan Region on February 15, consisted of members of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Bervin Buldan and Siri Siriye Onder, as well as co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Keskin Bayındır, and members of the party's Foreign Relations Committee.

The delegation met with Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) leader Masoud Barzani, Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, and PUK Presidential Council member Shanaz Ibrahim. The delegation conveyed Leader Abdullah Ocalan's message to the political parties in Southern Kurdistan.
