The commander in the Deir ezz Military Council, Rayan Al-Shanan confirmed that the region is experiencing a state of extreme caution over the attacks of the Damascus government and the so-called "National Defense".
He explained that the current situation in the region is characterized by caution due to the random shelling on the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
Al-Shanan indicated that the August 12 operation targeted three points of the Damascus government and the so-called "National Defense" on the western bank of the Euphrates River, resulted in the killing of 20 of them and the wounding of others, as a retaliation for Deir ez-Zor massacres.
Al-Shanan stressed that they carried weapons to protect their people and their land in the regions of NE Syria, and they are full alert to repel any attack. He explained: "We do not attack anyone, but whoever attacks us, we will respond."
"The security situation is currently relatively stable, but there is a displacement movement from the river strip, due to the random shelling by the regime forces using heavy weapons, such as 120 mm mortars and 130 mm field artillery" Al-Shanan added.
Rayan Al-Shanan sent a message of reassurance to the people in Deir ez-Zor to defend themselves, their land, and repel any attack against the region of NE Syria. He stressed that they will take security measures to combat anyone tampers with the security of the region.
