The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported today that more than 530 civilians have been killed since Thursday during combing operations and clashes between Damascus government forces and militants affiliated with the ousted president, Bashar al-Assad.

With this, the total death toll since the start of the clashes on Thursday has risen to 745, including 213 from Damascus government forces and pro-Assad militants, according to the same source.

Meanwhile, thousands of residents from the Syrian coast have fled toward northern Lebanon. Local reports also indicate that dozens of families have entered the Hmeimim Air Base in the countryside of Latakia after two days of intensified fighting between Damascus government forces and militants affiliated with the former regime, as well as escalating massacres and violations against civilians in the Syrian coastal region.
