The 4th Division, the 25th Special Tasks Division, and the 11th Division, combat formations within the Damascus forces, have sent significant military reinforcements to Aleppo and Idlib countryside. These reinforcements include heavy weapons, armored vehicles, and hundreds of soldiers to repel the advance of "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" mercenaries toward the outskirts of Aleppo city, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

In this context, families have been displaced from the outskirts of Aleppo, western neighborhoods, and Nubul and Zahraa due to fears of attacks by "the group" and shelling targeting civilian areas.

The "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" mercenaries have also cut off the Damascus-Aleppo International Highway (M5) at the town of Zerbeh in Aleppo's countryside. Additionally, they have taken control of the junction connecting the M4 and M5 highways near Saraqib city. This has rendered the highway non-operational after being reopened by Damascus forces a few years ago.

The intensity of violent military clashes between the militants and Damascus forces has escalated in Aleppo and Idlib countryside since the early hours of Wednesday, November 27. The clashes have resulted in 186 military casualties from both sides.
