Contents of Meeting representatives of NE,Syria ,Transitional Government

The meeting of representatives of North and East Syria and officials of the Transitional Government in Syria concluded with an emphasis on removing obstacles and challenges facing the implementation of the March 10 Agreement, implementing commitments regarding the displaced, finding mechanisms to integrate institutions, and working to resolve all obstacles and challenges to achieve understanding and effective partnership between the two parties.

A new round of negotiations was held this morning between representatives of North and East Syria and officials of the Transitional Government at Tishreen Palace in Damascus.

North and East Syria were represented by the co-chairs of the negotiating delegation with the Transitional Government, Fawza Youssef, Abdul Hamid Al-Mahbash, the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, and the Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Democratic Autonomous Administration, Ilham Ahmed.

From the Transitional Government side, the meeting was attended by: Foreign Minister Asaad al-Sheibani, Interior Minister Anas Khattab, Defense Minister Marhaf Abu Qasra, and Intelligence Chief Hussein Salameh also attended the meeting.

The meeting was also attended by a US delegation headed by US Special Envoy to Syria Thomas Barrack, US Special Envoy to North and East Syria Scott Boles, and another member of the US Congress. From the French government side, the meeting was attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of the French Embassy in Syria, Jean-Baptiste Faivre, and an accompanying delegation.

According to a source who spoke to our agency, the attendees discussed the mechanisms for implementing the provisions of the March 10 agreement signed between the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, and the Head of the Transitional Phase in Syria, Ahmed al-Sharaa, and efforts to remove the obstacles and challenges facing its implementation.

The delegation from North and East Syria also focused on the need to expedite the implementation of the transitional government's commitments regarding those forcibly displaced from Afrin, Serekaniye/Ras al-Ain, and Gire Spi, according to the source.

The source added that the attendees discussed the issue of border crossings and how to integrate the institutions of the Autonomous Administration with government institutions.

The source indicated that the meeting stressed the need for security and military coordination between the two parties.
