commander: security campaign achieves its goals in Roj Camp

Lamaa Samir Ismail, a commander in the Internal Security Forces - Women's Unit, explained that the security campaign launched by the Internal Security Forces - Women's Unit, with support from the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), on April 5, came after suspicious movements of ISIS cells were detected inside the camp, accompanied by an increase in escape attempts and the occurrence of murders.

Lamaa explained in a special statement to ANHA's agency that the campaign, led by women with strength and effectiveness, succeeded in seizing books and sums of money, in just two days, along with electronic devices used to spread extremist ideology among women and children.

She also pointed out that the recent surge in cell activity is due to the increased movements of ISIS mercenaries in Syria and Iraq, which gives these cells a morale boost within the camp, leading to increased attempts at disobedience and escape.

Lamaa Ismail noted that the camp's families consist of women and children who still adhere to extremist ideology.

Lamaa Ismail highlighted the pioneering role of women in northern and eastern Syria, saying, "The campaign, titled 'Women's Campaign for the Internal Security Forces,' has demonstrated that women are capable of enforcing security and effecting change, even in the most complex environments."

Lamaa Ismail, on behalf of the Internal Security Forces - Women, pledged to continue working to protect society and confront any attempts to destabilize the region. She emphasized that this land "was liberated by the blood of martyrs, and we will not allow the security and stability of the region to be destabilized."
