Çil Axa residents vow to continue struggle until leader Ocalan freed

Residents of Çil Axa in the Jazira Canton denounced the continued isolation against leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali Island prison. Citizen Salamat Ramo stated: “The ongoing isolation on leader Abdullah Ocalan is part of an international conspiracy that began 27 years ago, aimed at destroying the will of peoples striving for freedom, as well as targeting the Kurdish cause and free women.”

She added: “Through his democratic philosophy and thought, the leader has foiled these schemes, which is why isolation continues today as an attempt to revive them.”

Ramo emphasized that these practices are an extension of the international conspiracy against his democratic project, and stressed that peoples will not abandon their struggle until his physical freedom is achieved. She also highlighted that peoples and women who draw from the leader’s thought will continue to thwart the objectives of isolation just as they have previously countered such conspiracies, noting that continued isolation represents ongoing attempts to annihilate peoples and divert them from the path of freedom.

Tasnīm Ahmad expressed her firm rejection of the immoral practices executed by the Turkish state against Abdullah Ocalan, stating: “The leader is a symbol of resistance for peoples and women, and we will not accept the continuation of these violations against him.”

She called on international human rights organizations and governments to intervene urgently to end the isolation and ensure justice.

Ali Khidr described the ongoing isolation as a “blatant violation of humanity and international law”, noting that “Abdullah Ocalan laid the foundations for the democratic nation project and the brotherhood of peoples, which empowered the residents of North and East Syria to protect their existence and unity.”

Khidr concluded by affirming the residents’ commitment to following the leader’s path until his physical freedom is realized, declaring: “The freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is our freedom, and lifting the isolation against him is a non-negotiable humanitarian and moral demand.”
