A 14-year-old boy from the village of Al-Barsa, near Maaret al-Numan in the Idlib countryside, was killed by shrapnel from a landmine explosion.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, this brings the number of civilians killed by landmines since the beginning of 2026 to 94, including 28 children and 7 women. An additional 101 people have been injured, including 62 men, 38 children, and one woman.
