In a post on the "X" platform, CENTCOM stated that the airstrike "targeted and killed Mohammed Youssef Diya Talay, a senior military leader of the terrorist group Hurras al-Din, affiliated with Al-Qaeda."

CENTCOM described the airstrike as part of its ongoing commitment, alongside regional partners, to disrupting the efforts of "terrorists" in planning, organizing, and carrying out attacks against civilians, U.S. military personnel, allies, and partners across the region.

General Michael Erik Kurilla, the commander of U.S. Central Command, stated: "As we have said before, we will continue to relentlessly pursue these terrorists in order to defend our homeland, U.S. personnel, our allies, and partners in the region."
