Cautious calm prevails east of Raqqa, SDF raises its alert level

A cautious calm prevails around the village of Ghanem al-Ali, east of Raqqa province in the North and East Syria region, as the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) raise their alert level to its highest point and reassess the attack they were subjected to on Saturday, with no new violations recorded so far.

A cautious calm returned on Sunday to the vicinity of Ghanem al-Ali village, east of Raqqa, following an attack that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced they had thwarted on Saturday.

ANHA correspondents reported that the Syrian Democratic Forces have begun reassessing the attack launched by the Syrian Transitional Government Forces, amid heightened alert and a state of readiness at its highest level in anticipation of any new attacks.

On Saturday, the Syrian Democratic Forces confirmed in a statement that they had repelled a "treacherous" attack in which the attackers used suicide drones and heavy weapons, resulting in minor injuries to three of their fighters, while injuries were also reported among the attacking forces.

The Syrian Democratic Forces continue to monitor the front lines in the area, while maintaining heightened defensive measures, where no new violations have been recorded so far.
