Barzani, SDF, government's agreement is important for peaceful solution, ending complexities

The Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani welcomed the agreement reached between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian Interim Government in a statement.

He said, "We welcome and support the agreement between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) for its role in halting the fighting, integrating military and administrative institutions, guaranteeing the civil and educational rights of the Kurdish people, and creating the conditions for the return of displaced persons to their original areas."

He added that this agreement is an important and correct step towards a peaceful solution and ending the current state of complexity and crises, emphasizing that the region has always stressed that dialogue, understanding, and a political solution are the only way to reach a lasting solution that takes into account the interests of all parties.

He pointed out that this agreement provides a strong foundation for stability, social peace, and peaceful co-existence among the various components of Syrian society, expressing hope that it will pave the way for rebuilding a unified Syria, guaranteeing the rights of the Kurdish people and all other components in the future constitution, and achieving security and stability in Syria and the region in general.
