US Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack said the United States remains in close contact with all parties in Syria and is working continuously to reduce tensions and prevent any military escalation.

Barrack explained that US efforts are focused on reviving the political process, particularly the resumption of “integration talks” between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces, in a way that contributes to stability and prevents the expansion of the conflict.

Since the sixth of this month, mercenaries of the Syrian interim government backed by the Turkish occupation have launched attacks on the neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zaid, as well as on Deir Hafir in the Tabqa canton and the vicinity of the Tishreen Dam south of Kobani.
