The governor of Shirnakh has announced that 11 areas in Shirnakh, North Kurdistan, have been declared a "temporary special security area" and placed under curfew for 15 days.

According to Mezopotamya Agency, the areas under the curfew are: "Besta, Gabar, Judi, Kilamimi, Tekhta Resh, Mount Kurt, Donmezler, Kovan Kaya, Ingebel Daghlari, Altin Daghlari, and Uyma Kaya."
