Assad discusses with Shoygu files related to international, regional security
Amid regional tensions and Russian efforts to normalize relations between the Damascus government and the occupying Turkish state, Bashar al-Assad received today the Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council, Sergei Shoygu.
Media outlets affiliated with the Damascus government said that Bashar al-Assad received today in Damascus Sergei Shoygu, Secretary of the Russian Federation Security.
Assad discussed with Shoygu a number of files related to international and regional security, as well as bilateral relations between the Damascus government and Russia and prospects for strengthening them to serve the interests of the two countries, according to an agency affiliated with the Damascus government.
Shoygu's visit to Syria comes amid the repercussions of the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas on neighboring countries, as well as Russian efforts to normalize relations between the Damascus government and the occupying Turkish state.
