Arrests, raids target Kurdish young men in al-Shahba region

Local sources from al-Nayrabiyah village, located in al-Shahba region of Aleppo northern countryside, reported that on Tuesday, the Syrian Interim Government Forces began a campaign of arbitrary arrests, targeting numerous young men.

The sources stated that a force related to the Interim Government, consisting of four vehicles and 20 personnel, entered the village on April 14th and raided several homes of Kurdish citizens under the pretext of "dealing with the Autonomous Administration."

The homes searched belong to the following residents:

Abdel Jalil Aidan, 55-year-old

 Hakim Shahin

Shahin Hakim Shahin, 23 years old, and he was arrested

Imad Abd al-Jawad Welo, 45 years old, and he was arrested

Mohamed Nouri Meho, 36-year-old

Abdel Jawad Abdel Qader Welo, 63-year-old

Ziyad Ahmed Abdel Qader Welo, 40-year-old

Khaled Ahmed Abdel Qader Welo, 46 -year-old

Salah Mohamed Abdel Qader, 45-year-old.

The campaign also resulted in the arrest of Imad Abdel Jawad and Shahin Hakim according to the Afrin-Syria Human Rights Organization.
