The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the number of fatalities in Sweida has risen to 248 since the clashes began in the early hours of Sunday, July 13.

According to the Observatory, 21 of those killed, including three women, were executed on the spot by forces affiliated with the Ministries of Defense and Interior of the Syrian transitional government.

The Observatory also noted that ongoing shelling has targeted neighborhoods in Sweida city and the village of Sahwat al-Balata using artillery shells, mortars, and drones, resulting in further casualties amid a complete blackout of electricity and internet services.

Residents and civil groups continue to call for an end to the escalation and for the establishment of safe corridors to allow the entry of humanitarian aid, emphasizing the urgent need to protect medical personnel and civilians amid a widespread collapse of essential services.
