Armored vehicle of Damascus forces damaged in Daraa

Clashes between local gunmen from Daraa and the Damascus government forces continued for the second day in a row, during which weapons and RPG launchers were used in the vicinity of the State Security branch.

SOHR said that clashes between local gunmen on the one hand, and members of the State Security affiliated with the Damascus government forces in the city of Inkhil, north of Daraa have renewed for the second day in a row.

The Syrian Observatory indicated that weapons and RPG launchers were used in the vicinity of the State Security branch, while an armored vehicle was damaged by the gunmen after being targeted with an RPG shell.

Local gunmen had blocked the Jassem-Inkhel and Jassem-Nimr roads north of Daraa to pressure for the release of a young man from the town of Al-Karak Al-Sharqi who was arrested about a week ago at the Al-Santar checkpoint south of Damascus.

Accordingly, the number of attacks in Daraa since the beginning of the year, according to the Observatory’s documentation, has reached 306 incidents that led to death of 288 people.
