Armed attack targets Security Forces in Deir ez-Zor

The Internal Security Forces announced that one of their members was subjected to an armed attack, resulting in injuries from multiple gunshots. The member was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

The General Command of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria issued a statement today regarding the injury of one of its members in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, stating: "At exactly 2:00 PM today, members of a terrorist cell riding a motorcycle carried out a cowardly attack targeting one of our forces' members at the 'Al-Sa’wa' checkpoint in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, using a handgun, which resulted in the member being injured by four gunshots.

The injured member was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment, and their health condition is under observation.

Our forces are currently working to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice. While we condemn this cowardly act, we affirm our commitment to continuing our national duty and defending the security and stability of the region. Such attempts will not deter us from fulfilling our responsibilities."
