The meeting emphasized the role of tribes in promoting coexistence and preserving societal unity amid current challenges.

The meeting took place at the Workers’ Union office in the town of Rumeilan, affiliated with Girkê Legê, against the backdrop of escalating regional and international threats targeting the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

There were also attempts to destabilize community security by sowing discord among different components.

The gathering was attended by Arab tribal leaders and sheikhs from Girkê Legê and its countryside, along with members of local institutions.

The meeting began with a minute of silence to honor the martyrs. Sihanouk Dibo, the representative of the Autonomous Administration for North and East Syria in Gulf countries, delivered a speech focusing on the critical political phase Syria is undergoing.

He highlighted efforts by some regional parties to tear apart the social fabric and dismantle the democratic framework established by the Autonomous Administration over the past years.

Dibo stressed that the tribes have been, and continue to be, a cornerstone in supporting the Democratic Nation project. Their cohesion and political and social awareness have played a significant role in thwarting numerous plots aimed at undermining societal unity.

For their part, the Arab tribal leaders and sheikhs affirmed their commitment to protecting the security of their regions and their outright rejection of any external interference seeking to create chaos among the region’s components.

They emphasized that unity and coordination with the Autonomous Administration are the best ways to confront all challenges.

They also called for intensifying meetings and dialogues among different components, strengthening the tribes’ role in resolving disputes through dialogue, and contributing to fostering a spirit of community resistance while preserving civil peace.

The meeting concluded by underscoring the need to raise community awareness about the dangers of the current phase and to continue the political and social struggle to defend the Autonomous Administration’s project.

The participants committed to advancing the building of a democratic, pluralistic Syria that preserves the dignity of all its peoples and components.
