Under the slogan "With Democratic Politics, We Will Build a Democratic Society," the Free Women's Movement is organizing the event with the participation of representatives from all parts of Kurdistan, as well as from Iraq and Europe.

In addition to the participation of both former and current members of parliament, a number of prominent women figures will also attend the conference remotely, according to the Mezopotamya Agency.

Jacklara Demiral, a member of the preparatory committee for the conference, stated that one of the main goals of the event is to establish a joint political strategy and a unified organizational effort to advance the struggle of women.

She explained that the prevailing male-dominated mindset and the nation-states in the world and the Middle East are the ones making decisions about war, which results in women being the most affected by these conditions.

She emphasized that the response to the nation-state system must be a democratic political approach and that organizing a joint women's struggle requires holding such a conference. She also pointed out that women in the Middle East are often confined to their homes and excluded from decision-making processes, while Kurdish women bear a significant role and responsibility in resisting this system, noting that there is an ongoing women's revolution in Rojava.

Representatives from all parts of Kurdistan and countries such as Denmark, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Germany will participate in the conference. Around 60 parliamentarians from South Kurdistan are expected to attend, along with former and current MPs, including Leyla Zana.

Demiral noted that due to restrictions in Turkey, some figures will not be able to attend in person but will participate online instead.

On the second day of the conference, there will be workshops where recommendations will be developed through discussions.
