SDF thwart attack by ISIS cells in Deir ez-Zor

Today, the Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) published on its official website a news about thwarting ISIS attack in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside:

" For the third consecutive day, our forces have successfully repelled ISIS cells’ attacks targeting our military positions in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

Yesterday, our forces foiled a terrorist attack carried out by an ISIS cell on one of our military points in the town of Al-Sabha. The cell, using motorcycles and machine guns, launched a treacherous and indiscriminate attack. As they passed by the military position, they opened fire on our fighters. Thanks to the vigilance and readiness of our forces, the attack was thwarted immediately. Our fighters responded swiftly, engaging in a clash with the terrorists.

Unfortunately, due to the indiscriminate gunfire by the terrorists, a civilian in the vicinity was injured. Our forces provided first aid and evacuated him for medical treatment. During this time, the terrorist cell exploited the situation and fled the area.

Our forces remain steadfast in their mission to permanently defeat the terrorist organization, dismantle its cells, cut off its resources, and preserve the security and stability of the region."
