Aleppo Tribes: Leader Ocalan’s Message reaffirm commitment to coexistence

Notables of the tribes in Aleppo affirmed that the message of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, addressed to Syrian tribal elders and dignitaries, carries weight through its timing, sensitivity, and importance. They emphasized that it calls for strengthening the common bonds between Arabs and Kurds.

Leader Abdullah Ocalan sent a message to the sheikhs and dignitaries of Syrian tribes in which he praised the historic relationship between the Arab and Kurdish peoples. The message received broad resonance across Syria.

Aleppo’s tribal leaders expressed their loyalty to the values of fraternity and to leader Ocalan’s efforts in consolidating peace among peoples and preserving historical ties.

Sheikh Ahmad Sadiq Haidar Agha, of the Didan Barazi tribe in Syria, described the message to Syrian tribal leaders as “valuable,” saying: “We highly appreciate the Leader dedicating a message to us, and we express our gratitude and loyalty to him for this.”

He added: “ Leader Ocalan message, with its call for brotherhood, freedom, and justice, left a positive echo in our hearts and a deep impact on us.”

Sheikh Haidar Agha stressed that the tribes of Aleppo would remain loyal to the values of fraternity and unity, committed to the land and dignity, and bound to coexistence while safeguarding their historical relationship.

Ali al-Hassan, an official in the Religious Council and a member of the al-Bukhamees tribe, stated: “We are witnessing a historic moment, namely the message sent by Leader Abdullah Ocalan from Imrali Prison to Syrian tribal sheikhs and dignitaries. It is a message of weight in its timing, sensitivity, and importance, as it urges the strengthening of Arab-Kurdish bonds and sheds light on the shared history of both peoples who live on one geography.”

Al-Hassan emphasized that Arabs and Kurds are brothers and must stand together to reach safety amid Syria’s current escalation and challenges: “We must live within the framework of the Democratic Nation project proposed by the Leader, to ensure security and build democracy and justice in our societies.”

He further stressed the deep-rooted ties between the Kurdish and Arab peoples, saying: “No one, and no force, can sow discord between them, given their common bonds and shared blood.”
