The ceremony, organized today by the Council of Martyrs’ Families in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh, followed an announcement by the HPG’s media center that the three had been killed in different locations and at different times.

Held at the Martyrs’ Cemetery of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh, the event began with a minute of silence in tribute to the martyrs, followed by speeches from Ibrahim Hussein, an official in the General Council of the neighborhoods, and Mahmoud Mardenli, a commander in Aleppo’s Internal Security Forces.

In his address, Ibrahim Hussein stressed that the three martyrs had served as beacons of struggle within the “Apoist movement,” describing them as a school that had trained thousands of fighters on the principles of free and democratic thought. He affirmed that their revolutionary legacy would remain alive in the hearts of future generations, noting that the struggles of Nureddin Sofi and Kocero Urfa had spanned all four parts of Kurdistan.

For his part, Mahmoud Mardenli stated that the martyrdom of these fighters would not weaken organized society but would strengthen its resolve to uphold the values they sacrificed for. He reaffirmed that Aleppo’s Internal Security Forces stood ready to confront any threat to the people and defend their dignity, in loyalty to the martyrs’ sacrifices.

The ceremony concluded with chants honoring the martyrs, most prominently: “Martyrs are eternal.”
