Afrin Social League condemns attack on people of "Kakhra" village
Members of the Afrin Social League in al-Jazira canton condemned the crime committed by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation in the village of Kakhra, which is affiliated with occupied Afrin.
The Afrin Social League issued a statement to the public opinion condemning the brutal crime committed by the mercenaries of the so-called "Amshat" against women in the village of Kakhra, which is affiliated with occupied Afrin, during a gathering in front of the League's center in the city of Qamishlo.
The statement was delivered by the member of the Afrin Association, Rojbin Ibish, and it stated: "The mercenaries of the Turkish state continue, in full view of the world, to commit more horrific violations against the indigenous people of occupied Afrin, the latest of which was what happened in the village of Kakhra in the district of Mobata (Maabatli) from arrests and attacks on women and imposing exorbitant fees on the olive season."
The statement added: "Yesterday, gunmen from the Sultan Suleiman Shah (Amshat) Brigade militia raided and fired live bullets at a women's demonstration in the village of Kakhra, on the eve of the Eid al-Mawlid al-Nabi al-Sharif for the Islamic nation, which led to the injury of a number of women and the arrest of a number of men from the village."
The statement concluded by saying: "We in the Afrin Social Association strongly condemn the ongoing violations against the indigenous people of occupied Afrin, and we appeal to the international and regional bodies concerned with human rights and women to assume their responsibilities towards the ongoing violations that constitute a violation of all international covenants and conventions.
