Since Tuesday night, Damascus government forces and the "National Defense" have been attacking villages and towns in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, resulting in the martyrdom of 14 people and injuries to 26 others. This has led to widespread condemnation across NE Syria.

Ain Issa

In this context, residents of the eastern countryside of Ain Issa issued a statement in the village of Sheikh Hassan, part of the Euphrates Canton.

The statement condemned the massacres committed by the Damascus government forces and the "National Defense" in the villages of Deir ez-Zor.

The statement affirmed “support for the Syrian Democratic Forces, which are taking a strong stance against anyone who attempts to undermine the security and stability of the region, and that they will spare no effort in defending their land against any aggression.”

Al-Hol

The Al-Hol City Council in Jazera Canton organized a large demonstration in solidarity with the people of Deir ez-Zor. The protest started from the educational complex in Al-Hol and marched towards the city's main entrance. Upon arrival, the demonstrators observed a moment of silence, after which Sheikh Abbas Aboud Al-Sultan of the Khawatina tribe read a statement to the public.

The statement affirmed that, thanks to the unity of our communities, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and the Autonomous Administration, the Syrian regime is once again attempting, through its mercenaries, to disrupt stability and create discord in Deir ez-Zor. It emphasized the tribes' steadfast support for the people of Deir ez-Zor and the SDF in resisting these mercenaries and their malicious plans against our people in Deir ez-Zor and NE Syria.

The demonstration ended with chants in support of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Tal Brak

In the city of Tal Brak, Jazera Canton, tribal leaders and notables issued a statement read by Ahmed Al-Hweidar, a prominent figure from the Jabour tribe, in front of the Tal Brak Subdistrict Council.

The statement condemned the aggression by criminal gangs against the people of Deir ez-Zor, including the killing of innocents, terrorizing and displacing residents, and disregarding the lives of children and women.

It affirmed, "We stand behind the Syrian Democratic Forces and the internal security forces who are defending our land with great sacrifice. These forces are our sons, and their blood is precious to us. Therefore, we demand an end to the bloodshed and urge adherence to our values while advancing our community and people towards freedom and justice.”

Tirbespî

Sheikhs and notables of the Al-Jawalah Al-Tayeh tribe issued a statement read by Mohammed Zidan, a member of the tribe, at the Democratic Society Movement Center in Tirbespî.

The statement condemned the recent events in Deir ez-Zor and the attacks by a group of mercenaries who claimed to represent the tribes. It emphasized that these individuals represent only themselves and are far removed from the ethical and national values of the tribes, asserting that Syria is a homeland for everyone.

The statement also rejected all projects aimed at destabilizing security and stability, calling for unity to preserve Syria’s territorial and national integrity. It condemned the massacre committed by the mercenaries against the people of the villages of Al-Dahla and Jadidat Al-Bakara.

Shahba

In the Shahba Canton, tribal leaders in the Afrin and Shahba areas issued a statement condemning the attacks. The statement was read by Ibrahim Khalil, a member of the tribal council, in front of the Tribal Leaders’ Council Center in the village of Wahshiya.

The statement condemned the attacks and stated that their aim is to control Deir ez-Zor and other areas in North and East Syria, and to create discord among the region’s peaceful communities.

Manbij

The Child Protection Office of the Women's Administration in the Autonomous Administration of Manbij issued a statement read by office administrator Sana Rjeib.

The statement expressed condolences to the families of children and martyrs who sacrifice their lives for freedom. It condemned the Syrian regime and its supporters for their long history of violence, kidnapping, and displacement, stating that their goal is to destabilize the region.

It also called on humanitarian organizations and UNICEF to fulfill their responsibilities regarding these practices and to hold the perpetrators accountable.

Deir ez-Zor

In Deir ez-Zor, local residents and institutional members also issued a statement read by Hassan Suleiman, member of the HPC Council, in front of the western region council building in the town of Al-Kasrah.

The statement condemned the "barbaric and reckless attacks" carried out by the National Defense mercenaries affiliated with the Damascus government against children, women, civilians, and property.

It affirmed that "the people of Deir ez-Zor stand united with our military forces to confront these attacks and those behind them. The methods of the invaders will not weaken our resolve to defend every inch liberated by the blood of our martyrs. We are all potential martyrs, and we will not allow any traitor to desecrate our land. Our lives are a sacrifice for our land and the ideals of our leader Abdullah Ocalan.”
