AANES: we to confront Turkish brutal aggression with strong’s people will

It was stated at the beginning of a written statement by the administration that the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria affirmed that it would stand firmly in the face of the Turkish attacks on the region, and expressed its confidence that the will of the people would defeat the Turkish fascist state. The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued it today, “The Turkish state continues its attacks on the regions of North and East Syria are based on false pretexts that are not based on any criteria."

The statement considered that the Turkish attacks stem from a Turkish mentality that seeks to end the existence of the democratic project, inflame conflicts, and benefit from “regional and international developments and exploit them for their interests to implement their aggressive tendencies and genocidal approach, especially against our regions that struggle against terrorism and seek to build a societal model based on the foundation of the unity of peoples and their democratic struggle.”

The statement recalled the Turkish attacks that targeted infrastructure and caused civilian casualties “during the past week and the beginning of this week, as the Turkish occupation army targeted, in its barbaric aggression, many civilians and their homes, as well as wheat silos in Kobani, fire crews, and the electricity transfer station in Ain Issa and Kobani.” Which resulted in cutting off electricity to Kobani and 300 villages around it, and striking the power station in Amuda, as well as the Ad-Darbasiyah district and its countryside, including the supply center. The aggressive attacks led to the injury of two children and a woman due to the targeting of their house in the Ad-Darbasiyah countryside. The attacks also led to several service institutions being out of service.

The administration affirmed in its statement that "this followed policy is a policy of annihilation, displacement and emptying of the region similar to what is happening in our occupied regions, as well as an attempt to escape forward towards directing and deceiving Turkish public opinion and diverting its attention from the failure of Erdogan's government internally and his unjustified escalation externally."

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria also affirmed that it will stand “firmly against these attempts and policies of genocide and denial, and we will continue to build our regions and develop the will of our people,” calling on “human rights, international, and humanitarian institutions to realize the dangers of this escalation and its repercussions on the humanitarian and security situation, as well as efforts to combat terrorism.”

The statement called on the people, with their various components, inside the homeland and in the diaspora, to move and stand against these policies, raise the pace of struggle, and express firm positions “to prevent Turkey and its tools from succeeding with these policies and its goals, stressing that the will and determination of our people is a path towards ensuring victory and thwarting all plans of aggression.”
