AANES: Important changes in new Social Contract

The Autonomous Administration changed its current name, wher the new social contract stipulated the establishment of a constitutional court to protect the contract.

The new Social Contract stipulated that the administration be called the “Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.”

The Autonomous Administration region became one region, which is the “North and East Syria Region,” which includes seven provinces.

The new Social Contract also includes changes in the structure of municipalities in all regions "it will transform from a municipal body to a grouping and union of municipalities."

The name of the “General Council” was also changed to the “Peoples’ Council of North and East Syria.”

Furthermore, some institutions will be created, such as the “Oversight Institution,” and they will be affiliated with the Peoples’ Council, instead of the Executive Council.

The New Social contract also stipulated the establishment of the central monetary and a special court. This court is tasked with protecting the contract.
