AA declares general mobilization in NE Syria

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a statement to the public opinion, asserting that "factions affiliated with the Damascus Interim Government in Syria have violated the signed agreements, and have been launching attacks on its forces' positions on multiple fronts since Saturday morning till now, despite persistent efforts to find peaceful solutions and demonstrate good faith, including withdrawing from some areas."

The statement made clear that "the continuation of these attacks reflects Damascus's insistence on military escalation," and warned that "their aim is to undermine the fraternity among the various communities of North and East Syria, incite discord and violence, target indigenous groups, and impose a single ideology at the expense of the region's existing diversity."

The statement indicated that the current stage is pivotal, and that what is happening represents an existential challenge threatening the gains of the revolution and societal identity. It called for popular rally and standing in solidarity to defend the cities and protect dignity."

The statement also called for supporting the general mobilization declared by the Autonomous Administration, and emphasized the necessity of standing beside the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women's Protection Units. In addition, it stressed that popular resistance is the primary option in confronting the ongoing attacks.

The statement concluded by emphasizing the importance of general preparedness and unity among all segments of society in the face of the current developments on the ground.
