8 Peshmerga fighters martyred in Iranian attack on headquarters in Sulaymaniyah

Eight Peshmerga fighters affiliated with the Revolutionary Toilers’ Association of Iranian Kurdistan (Komala) were martyred and others were injured after Iranian forces carried out a missile strike on the association’s headquarters in Sulaymaniyah, Southern Kurdistan.

Media outlets from Southern Kurdistan reported that Iranian forces launched a ballistic missile attack this morning targeting the headquarters of the Komal, an opposition group to the Iranian government, in the “Zargwezela” area of Sulaymaniyah province.

Eight Peshmerga fighters were martyred in the attack. Rescue teams have so far been unable to recover their bodies due to their location inside caves in a rugged mountainous area.
