621 killed in Daraa during the year 2023

Yesterday evening a young man was killed by unknown gunmen after he was targeted by direct bullets in the town of Mahaja in the northern countryside of Daraa.

It is noteworthy that the dead man defected from the regime forces and then made a settlement in 2018 to return to his civilian life and work in trade, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The total number of attacks in Daraa since the beginning of January, according to the Syrian Observatory, has reached 483 incidents of security chaos, all of which took place in different ways and methods, and caused the death of 388 people.

In the context of the security chaos in the “settlements” areas, a young man was killed by his cousin following an argument that developed into an armed clash between the two families, in the town of Tal Shihab in the western countryside of Daraa.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the occurrence of 204 premeditated murders since the beginning of the year 2023, some of which resulted from domestic violence or theft and others whose causes and motives are still unknown. 233 people fell victim to these crimes: 51 women, 159 men, and 23 children.
