The city of Antwerp in Belgium witnessed a solidarity demonstration with Kurds in Rojava, during which participants condemned what they described as genocidal attacks against the Kurdish people.

Belgian police reported that six people were injured, two of them in critical condition, after a knife attack during the demonstration near the opera house in Antwerp.

A spokesperson for the Belgian police told Agence France-Presse that all the injured were transferred to hospital, while four individuals were arrested. The motives behind the attack have not yet been clarified.
