43 citizens injured over shooting incident in Raqqa

 ANHA correspondent reported, quoting the security forces and the Raqqa Council, that masked men opened fire towards the crowds celebrating the raising of the Syrian independence flag, which resulted in the injury of 43 citizens.

 The Peoples' Council in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a decision this afternoon, to raise the independence flag on all departments and institutions.

 Hundreds of residents of Raqqa headed to the city center to celebrate the raising of the flag, but masked men fired live bullets at the citizens which resulted in dozens of injuries.

 Later, video tapes from the scene of the attack showed a person wearing black clothes and covering his head with a black scarf carrying a "PKC" machine gun and firing randomly among the celebrants.

 The General Command of the Internal Security Forces condemned the criminal act in a statement and said that a number of its members were injured in the attack.

 Observers indicate that the MIT is behind the attack to push towards a civil war and incite sedition.
