360 Turkish occupation air, ground attacks on S. Kurdistan in 72 Hours

The Media Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement today confirming the continued Turkish occupation army's attacks on the Mediya Defense Areas. It also revealed the number of attacks over the past 72 hours.

The statement indicated that the Turkish occupation army launched 360 air and ground attacks on the Mediya Defense Areas.

The statement read:

"The Turkish occupation army's attacks with prohibited explosives:

On April 18, the Turkish occupation army bombed the resistance square on Amediya Hill in the Martyr Dalil area, west of Zap, once with prohibited explosives.

The Turkish occupation army's attacks with warplanes:

On April 18, the Turkish occupation army bombed the resistance square in Girê Pakir in the Martyr Dalil area, west of Zap, once with warplanes.

The Turkish occupation army's attacks with heavy weapons and artillery:

On April 18 and 19, the Turkish occupation army bombed the Lolan Square in the Khakurk region with heavy weapons and artillery 5 times, the resistance squares of Zivik, Karkaş, Sepindar, Mec, and Dereş in Gari region 115 times, the resistance squares of Şilaz and Beşili in the Metina region 14 times, and the resistance squares on Amediya Hill and Bahar Hill in the Martyr Dalil area, west of Zap, 224 times. In total, these squares were bombed 358 times.

Our forces intervened against these attacks. Attacks:

On April 18, at 1:58 PM, an artillery shelling our positions in the resistance square in Sarkal, in the Martyr Dalil area west of Zap, was destroyed by a suicide drone from our Martyr Ahin Muş units. This operation came in response to the violent attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation army against our areas.

On April 19, at 10:58 AM, our forces repelled an attack by the occupation soldiers on our resistance tunnels in the resistance square on Amediya Hill in the Martyr Dalil area west of Zap, using semi-automatic weapons.
