Israel announces its intentions through its Chief of Staff from inside Syria
Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir revealed Israel's intentions in Syria, confirming that the Israeli army has entered Syria to control strategic points due to the internal disintegration, noting the "importance of their presence there to defend themselves."
In a statement today, Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir confirmed that the Israeli army entered Syrian territory due to the "disintegration" of the internal situation in the country, noting that it has taken control of "key points" there.
During a visit to Israeli forces inside Syria, Zamir said: "This area is vital. We entered here because Syria has disintegrated; therefore, we control key points and are present on the front lines to defend ourselves in the best way possible."
Zamir added that from the position controlled by Israeli forces, the entire surrounding mountain range can be seen, emphasizing that the site has strategic importance. He said, "We don't know how things will develop here, but our presence here is of paramount security importance."
These statements come at a time of heightened tensions in the region, raising concerns about future developments and at a time when the Israeli army's incursions into Syrian territory are increasing.
