3 members of Internal Security injured in Homs

Three members of the Internal Security Forces were injured during clashes with armed individuals in the al-Waer neighborhood of Homs, amid ongoing security tensions and efforts to pursue one of the gunmen.

Clashes broke out between Internal Security Forces and armed individuals in the al-Waer district of Homs, according to ANHA correspondent.

ANHA correspondent cited security sources saying that three Internal Security personnel were injured during a security operation targeting a cell involved in theft-related activities.

According to the same sources, the operation has so far resulted in the arrest of one of the gunmen. It was also accompanied by a security deployment around the targeted area, while security measures continue to pursue the remaining suspects.

The sources did not disclose the nature of the injuries sustained by the personnel or provide additional details regarding the circumstances of the clashes. Security forces continue to enforce strict measures in the al-Waer neighborhood as of the time this report was prepared.
