3 ISIS mercenaries arrested north of Deir ez-Zor

On Friday, the Internal Security Forces' Media Center issued a statement in terms of the arrest of three ISIS mercenaries by its Counter-Terrorism Forces. The statement included,

"On Thursday, November 6, the Counter-Terrorism Forces (H.A.T.) affiliated with the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria, in coordination with the General Security Service and with support from the International Coalition, conducted a successful security operation in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, resulting in the arrest of three ISIS mercenaries."

The statement added that the operation carried out as a part of ongoing efforts to track down ISIS cells and eliminate sources of terrorism in the region. After closely monitoring the suspects' movements, the forces managed to raid and secure their locations without recording any casualties among the participating forces.

The statement also noted that "during the operation, the forces seized quantities of weapons, documents, and communication devices in the possession of the terrorists. The relevant security agencies have begun initial investigations with them in preparation for referring them to the appropriate judicial authorities."

The statement affirmed, "The General Security Service in the North and East Syria Region continues its efforts to pursue the remnants of the organization and dismantle its sleeper cells, within the framework of its endeavors to consolidate security and stability in the areas of the Democratic Autonomous Administration."
