29 victims due to explosion of war remnants in Syria during September

At least 29 people, including children, have been killed and injured since the beginning of September as a result of the explosion of war remnants in Syria, bringing the death toll to 615 since December 8, 2024.

Several areas in Syria witnessed a series of explosions caused by landmines and explosive remnants of war during the first half of September, killing 13 civilians, including three children, and wounding others with varying degrees of injury.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the incidents occurred in areas under the control of the transitional government, where 11 people were killed, including three children, and 15 others were injured, including 10 children. Meanwhile, areas in NE Syria saw the deaths of two men and the injury of another.

Accordingly, the death toll from explosive remnants of war since December 8, 2024, has reached 615 civilians, including 168 children and 42 women, in addition to 668 injured, including 293 children and 21 women, reflecting the continued threat to civilians across the country.
