2,000 packages of medicine arrive in Qamishlo from South Kurdistan

Aid being brought from South Kurdistan to Rojava continues, as a delegation of parliamentarians and parties' representatives arrived on Monday in Qamishlo, carrying a new shipment of medical supplies.

The aid, which included 2,000 packages of medicine, was delivered to the Kurdish Red Crescent.

Ali Hama Saleh, the member of the Kurdistan Region Parliament spoke on behalf of the delegation in front of the Kurdish Red Crescent headquarters, and stated that this shipment included 2,000 packages of medical supplies, in addition to several more packages of medicine that will arrive later. He confirmed that the aid will also include food supplies.

Hama Saleh emphasized the importance of support and solidarity among Kurds during these difficult times, adding, "Aid is being provided from all sides, and we hope it will continue. It is also a source of moral support. The basic needs are medicine, food, and milk."

He also emphasized that the delegation was present on behalf of the people of South Kurdistan, stating, "In these difficult times, we are offering our support. For us, there is no difference between Qamishlo, Amed, Sanandaj (Sine), Sulaimaniyya, or Erbil. Kurdistan is one. We provide support through financial aid, demonstrations, community and diplomatic activities."

In closing, Hama Salih stressed the importance of the demonstrations taking place in South Kurdistan and Europe, saying, "They have had a significant impact. Therefore, these activities must continue as long as the embargo remains in place. We must set aside our differences and unify our stance."

For his part, Delgesh Juma Issa, the head of the Kurdish Red Crescent, expressed his gratitude for the aid, explaining that the medicines would be distributed to hospitals and other areas in need.
