Two people were injured during tribal clashes erpted between two families in the town of Khesham, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that violent tribal clashes broke out between two families in the town of Khesham, in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, during which machine guns and RPG shells were used.

Local residents have issued urgent appeals to security authorities to intervene and resolve the clashes, in light of the situation's escalation and continuation untill the moment of preparing this report.

According to the Observatory, the clashes have resulted in two injuries in the initial count; both individuals were transported to the hospital for recoeving the medical treatment.

This brings the total number of family and tribal clashes in areas under the control of the Syrian Interim Government to 48 since the beginning of this year, resulting in the deaths of 35 people and the wounding of 92 others, including a woman.
