At least 18 people have been killed in Syria in the past 24 hours, amidst instability and security chaos in areas controlled by the Damascus regime.

According to documentation from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the remains of seven bodies were found in the city of Saraqib in the eastern Idlib countryside. They belonged to people killed by the Ba'athist regime five years ago, but their identities have yet to be determined.

In the northern Hama countryside, a child was killed by a landmine explosion left over from the war in the village of Al-Talisiyya. A similar incident occurred in the southern Idlib countryside, where another child was killed while herding sheep near the village of Umm Jalal

In the Latakia countryside, a young man from the village of Jabrboun was killed in mysterious circumstances while working on a transport truck near Deir Atiyah, on the Damascus-Homs road

In Aleppo city, two separate killings occurred in working-class neighborhoods: the first in the Jab al-Qubba neighborhood following a family dispute, and the second in the al-Marjah neighborhood following a previous dispute between neighborhood residents that escalated into direct gunfire.

In the city of Inkhil in the northern Daraa countryside, unknown gunmen assassinated a person, with the motives unknown. Two people transporting cheese and dairy products on a motorcycle were shot dead near the village of Arab Abu Talisa in the western Hama countryside.

In Deir ez-Zor, four people were killed: one by a landmine explosion near the 137th Brigade, another by indiscriminate gunfire at a wedding in the town of Gharanij, and the body of a woman was found shot dead near the al-Hamdan cemetery in Albukamal.

These incidents highlight the continued security chaos and the proliferation of mines and remnants of war, coinciding with a general state of instability in areas under the control of the Damascus regime
