Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that 17 people were killed and 44 others injured in Russian missile and drone attacks targeting the capital, Kyiv, and its suburbs.

In response, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that its forces had carried out strikes targeting logistics and supply centers in and around Kyiv, asserting that these facilities were being used for military purposes. The ministry added that the strikes also hit three cargo ships near the Black Sea port of Odesa.
