K. Star joins global campaign for leader Ocalan's freedom

Today, Kongra Star issued a statement regarding the global campaign “Freedom for Ocalan, the political solution for the Kurdish issue,” which was launched in 74 points around the world, on October 10.

The statement was read during a gathering organized in front of the Muhammad Sheikho Center for Culture and Art in the city of Qamishlo, by the spokeswoman for the Kongra Star Coordination, Rehan Luqo.

Loqo stated that leftists, socialists, democrats, liberals, people of morals and conscience, and democratic institutions launched this campaign on the anniversary of the October 9 conspiracy, noting that this thing “contains important meanings, and is the greatest and most effective response to the international conspiracy."

She added: "We at Kongra Star join this campaign and raise our voice for the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan. We also stress the necessity of finding political solutions for the Kurdish issue in the region, and escalating this struggle from the fields of the women's revolution."

Luqo noted that the isolation and attacks of the Turkish state against the leader Abdullah Ocalan are against all Kurds, peoples and identities that believe in the project of a democratic nation.

Rehan Loqo appealed to women's organizations and movements to escalate the pace of the struggle to achieve the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan.
