Kurdish community in Austria denounces Turkish occupation attacks

The Kurdish community in the Austrian capital, Vienna, and friends of the Kurdish people condemned the Turkish occupation attacks on NE, Syria, and called for the imposition of a no-fly zone on the region.

VIENNA

Members of the Kurdish community in the Austrian capital, Vienna, gathered in front of the Parliament building to participate in a sit-in denouncing the Turkish occupation attacks.

The co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Riyad Darar, participated in the event. Participants also raised the flags of the People’s Protection Units and the Women’s Protection Units YPG-YPJ, chanting slogans demanding the imposition of a no-fly zone on NE, Syria.

The co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Riyad Darar, delivered a speech during the event, in which he said: “There is a conspiracy targeting the people of NE, Syria, represented by genocidal attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation state. This conspiracy is intended to undermine the will of the people of the region. These attacks carried out by Erdogan and his party "You will not succeed in stopping our revolution."

He added: "The people of NE, Syria are waging great resistance in the face of these attacks, and whatever we do abroad will not do justice to this resistance."

Then the participants roamed the streets of the city, chanting slogans denouncing the Turkish occupation attacks and saluting the People’s Protection Units, the Women’s Protection Units, and the Syrian Democratic Forces.
