​​​​​​​Demonstration in Raqqa denouncing  Turkish attacks

Hundreds of Raqqa residents gathered today in front of Al-Nour Mosque, west of the city of Raqqa to stage a demonstration denouncing the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on the region.

The demonstration began towards the National Hospital, with demonstrators chanting, “No to the Turkish occupation,” “Long live the people’s resistance,” “Long live the Syrian Democratic Forces,” and “Down with Turkish fascism.”

Upon her arrival, the demonstrators observed a minute of silence to pay tribute to the souls of the martyrs, and then a member of the Zenobia Women’s Gathering Council, Fatima Al-Saleh, read a statement on behalf of the council.

The statement condemned the Turkish occupation attacks on the region and stressed that these attacks aim to break the will of women who yearn for freedom.

The statement stressed, "We will not allow the enemy to achieve his goal and restore Ottomanism."

Then a speech was delivered on behalf of religious affairs in the city of Raqqa by Yahya Mahmoud, in which he said: “We came today to say with one voice to all the men and women of Raqqa: No to the Turkish occupation, and we will resist the Turkish plots against our safe areas.”
