ISIS targets a gathering of Damascus forces in Deir ez-Zor countryside

From their hiding places deep in the Syrian desert, ISIS mercenaries targeted, with RPG shells, a gathering of Damascus government forces in the Shula desert in the Deir ez-Zor countryside during the process of replacing elements, which led to the death of one soldier while they fled to an unknown destination deep in the desert, according to what was reported by Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The death toll during military operations within the Syrian desert, according to the documentation of the Syrian Observatory, has reached 459 dead since the beginning of the year 2023. They are: 160 citizens in attacks by ISIS mercenaries in the desert, 270 from Damascus government forces and groups loyal to it, and 29 ISIS mercenaries killed in clashes with Damascus government forces and targeting. Russian air force targeted areas where they were hiding in various areas of the Homs desert, As-Suwayda, Hama, Raqqa, Deir ez-Zor, and Aleppo.

Most of these attacks occurred in the Homs desert, with 40 attacks, and the Deir ez-Zor desert, with 49 attacks.
