Civilian killed, 5 others injured in Turkish bombing of Ain Issa

During the month of September, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries targeted villages located on the frontlines in the Ain Issa district and the eastern and western countryside of Girê Spi canton with dozens of shells, causing human and material damage to the people’s property.

The Turkish occupation army intensified its bombing on the villages of the eastern and western countryside of Ain Is district, in conjunction with the “Security Enhancement” operation launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces in the Deir ez-Zor countryside. On September 3, the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state attempted to infiltrate the Sakiro and al-Tarawiza axes, and the SDF were able to confront them preventing them of the infiltration and suffered casualties. The Syrian Democratic Forces announced the killing of 7 mercenaries and the wounding of 7 others.

ANHA's agency documented the human damage caused by the bombing on the frontlines, where citizen Khalil Ibrahim Al-Hamad (23 years old) was injured in the bombing that targeted the village of al-Hawija, 15 km east of Ain Issa district, on September 4.

The citizen Majed Ibrahim al-Ali was also injured in the village of Abu Nitoula, 20 km west of Ain Issa district, on September 20. The day after, the migrant Qaban Aziz al-Khalil (29 years old) was injured, while he was working in plowing agricultural lands, near the village of Sheikh Hassan in the eastern countryside of Ain district. The Turkish bombardment with heavy weapons of the village of al-Hadriyat, 7 km east of Ain Issa, on September 27, resulted in the martyrdom of the citizen Omar Mohammad al-Juwaid (35 years old), and the injury of both Mahfouz al-Hammadi (30 years old) and Murisi al-Hammadi (32 years old).

The Turkish bombing on the western countryside of Ain Issa district on September 7, which focused on the Mediterranean tension line that feeds the cement factory (Lafarge), led to a power outage in the western countryside of the district and the countryside of Girê Spi canton, starting from Jdeidet Ain Issa, passing through the villages of al-Jarn and reaching the Turkish border.

The Turkish occupation army repeated its targeting of the power line on September 18, causing a power outage again.

The bombing of the western countryside of Ain Issa district obstructed the educational process at its beginning, after intensifying the bombing of the villages of al-Ahmadiyya, al-Arida, and Bandar Khan.
