AANES calls for effective action to curb Turkey's restraint, which hinders the struggle against terrorism

The Turkish occupation army continues its attacks on North and East Syria, and yesterday it targeted a car on the Qamishlo-Amuda road, and before that in Manbij, coinciding with daily attacks on populated villages.

In the context of the continued Turkish aggression, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a statement to public opinion, denouncing the attacks and calling for the need to take action to stop the Turkish aggression that is hindering the fight against terrorism.

It stressed: “These cowardly attacks will not prevent us from continuing the struggle and working to achieve the aspirations and rights of our people, drawing strength from the will and determination of the people.” It offered deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs of the occupation attacks and wished recovery for the wounded.

The text of the statement read:

“After the failure of the forces hostile to our people to achieve their goals over a decade and to undermine the will of our people and their determination to build their will, Turkey and other such forces began to resort to methods of targeting our regions with drones, at times and at other times by resorting to what fragments the unity and coexistence of our people by spreading strife and pretexts.” The flimsy, to develop sectarian conflicts, as is the case with the involvement of Turkey and other parties in what happened in Deir ez-Zor and before that in other regions, with the aim of hindering the progress of our people in developing their will, as well as preventing the continuation of the military and security forces in pursuing the fight against terrorism.

What happened yesterday by targeting a car on the Amuda-Qamishlo road and at the same time targeting Şengal and before that in Manbij, where he was martyred as a result of that day’s attack, and today’s attack of martyrs, including female fighters against terrorism and extremism, indicates with all evidence a strong Turkish desire to justify its failure in the region. The failure to achieve its goals, especially against our regions and against the project of our people, is also evidence of persistent attempts, under false pretexts, to create chaos and link the crimes Turkey is doing to baseless reasons.

While we strongly condemn this ongoing Turkish aggression against our regions and our people by Turkey, we in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria stress the necessity of the international community, especially the forces fighting terrorism, taking action in partnership with our people in taking serious and effective steps to curb this Turkish impediment that is hindering the struggle. Against terrorism openly by targeting our regions, with the need to search for unjustified Turkish causes and motives and put an end to them through firm practical measures, stressing that these cowardly attacks will not deter us from continuing the struggle and working to achieve the aspirations and rights of our people, drawing strength from the will and determination of the people.

Our deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, and a speedy recovery to the wounded.”
