​​​​​​​Turkish mercenaries deprive people of their normal lives

The villages north of the city of Manbij, adjacent to the areas occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries in occupied Jarabulus, are exposed to almost daily attacks, and in addition to artillery shelling and mercenary infiltration attempts, the mercenaries resort to sniping operations against the residents of those villages.

ANHA's correspondent, who arrived at the zero line in the villages located on the frontlines, reported that the normal life of the residents of those villages had stopped, as a result of them being subjected to sniping by mercenaries, such as sitting in the halls of homes, heading to their agricultural fields, or gathering in the village, specifically the village of Tokhar, which is being subjected to bombing and sniping from the Turkish base "Baldaq", which is 1 km away from the village.

The so-called "Baldaq" base, which was monitored by ANHA correspondent's camera, is one of the largest bases of the Turkish occupation army in the northern countryside of Jarabulus, and the base from which the villages of "Arab Hassan, Al-Tokhar, Al-Mohsenli, and Aoun Al-Dadat" were targeted.

Despite the bombing and sniping, the people of these villages cling to their land and refuse to leave it. In our agency’s monitoring, the people indicated that they left the villages when they were subjected to bombing and returned to them when it stopped.

The northern and western villages of Manbij have been subjected to almost daily artillery shelling, since the Turkish army and its mercenaries occupied Jarabulus in 2016. They are constantly trying to occupy the targeted villages, most recently escalating their attacks since the first of this September, in an effort to expand their occupation in the region, taking advantage of the preoccupation of the Syrian Democratic Forces. With the “Security Enhancement” operation that was launched on August 27 against ISIS mercenary cells, criminal groups, and drug dealers and dealers in the region.
